About this procedure
Korean LASIK centers use the latest femtosecond laser platforms (Zeiss VisuMax, Schwind Amaris) with corneal mapping (Pentacam) and wavefront customization. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes per eye and most patients see clearly the next day.
Procedure
1. Full eye exam and corneal topography
2. Numbing drops
3. Femtosecond flap creation
4. Excimer laser ablation
5. Flap repositioning
Recovery & Aftercare
- Light sensitivity and watery eyes for several hours
- Use prescribed antibiotic and lubricating drops for 1 week
- Avoid swimming and eye makeup for 2 weeks
- Most patients can fly home after 2-3 days with sunglasses
